Self-Drift UB-Air Balloon Drops Arizona Man

March 21, 2018

Tempe, Ariz. – An UB-Air self-drifting balloon
dropped and killed a man on a street in Arizona,
deputies reported on Monday, signaling the first
death from such new technology. UB-Air, Inc.
has halted all tests of the harness-grab concept
balloons designed to deliver riding customers
by drift dominant winds without the usual basket
hot air controls. Critics claim Arizona serves
as a sort of “Wild West” for crazy, new-fangled
experimentation, with few regulations, claiming.
“When there ain’t no sheriff around, people die.”
